Password protected Kiosk Mode
Prevent misuse and disable the touch display with Kiosk Mode. A password is required to modify the app’s style, admin settings, or connection settings. The Menu bar is accessible after long press on logo or double tap on logo.
Set Kiosk password
- Launch the Meeting Room Schedule app, navigate to Settings > Admin settings, then scroll down to the Security section and tap Show More.
- Enter a password with at least 4 characters. Confirm the password, then tap Set Password.
- If your Android version is 6.0 or higher, grant the requested permissions and press the Back button.
- If your Android version is below 6.0, the app will automatically obtain the required permissions.
- Your Password is now updated successfully.
Meeting Room Schedule as a Home app
To ensure Kiosk Mode functions properly, the Meeting Room Schedule app must be set as the default Home app. You can do this in one of two ways:
From the Home Button: Use this method if no Home app is currently set to “Always.”
From Android Settings: Use this method if another Home app is already set to “Always.”
Select Meeting Room Schedule as a default home app from Home button.
- Restart the Meeting Room Schedule app and press the Home button.
- Select the Meeting Room Schedule as a Home app.
